Penetration Sealing

Penetration seals are a fundamental requirement of fire safety design to stop the spread of fire and smoke. For example, where a ventilation duct passes through a wall, this has to be sealed off to maintain the fire resistance of that compartment.

Penetration seals can only be specified following a review of the materials that require sealing. No two applications are ever the same. The materials we use to build penetration seals are CE marked and certified for professional use.

Sealant products include intumescent sealant, ablative coatings, fire-resistant protection boards, fire-resistant pipe collars, fire-resistant pipe wraps, fire-resistant load-bearing compounds and fire-resistant electric socket boxes.

Penetration sealing forms part of your passive fire protection system and some form of sealing is always required to prevent the spread of smoke between fire compartments. We can recommend solutions for any building design.
