Fire doors are necessary for fire compartmentation. We specialise in specifying, installing and maintaining fire doors to the highest standards.
The most common specification for fire doors is FD30. FD30 fire doors are rated to resist fire for up to 30 minutes. Sometimes, a higher-specification door is required, such as an FD60 door, which is rated to resist fire for 60 minutes.
FD90 and FD120 fire doors also exist, offering 90 minutes and 120 minutes of fire resistance respectively. The right fire door for your building depends on the required standard of compartmentation and fire risk assessment data.
Fire doors should also have a certification label with a CF number – this is the door manufacturers’ certificate number. It is a mark of quality and compliance.
It’s important to note that a fire door is only effective if it is installed correctly. Our team of certified installers ensure that all fire doors and frames are installed correctly to maximise performance and ensure fire resistance integrity.
